The name Legacy Crossing comes from the Bichelmeyer family, proud owners of Bichelmeyer meats in Kansas City. The Bichelmeyer family has been operating in the Kansas City area for over 70 years, building a lasting legacy offering excellent products and services. Mary Bichelmeyer Lucas wrote a book titled, "Lunchmeat and Life Lessons," honoring her father, John, the original founder of Bichelmeyer meats. In this book Mary shares John's wisdom of treating people well and building lasting relationships.
