The Bichelmeyer family has been operating in the Kansas City area for over 70 years, building a lasting legacy offering excellent products and services. Mary Bichelmeyer Lucas wrote a book titled, "Lunchmeat and Life Lessons," honoring her father, John, the original founder of Bichelmeyer meats. In this book Mary shares John's wisdom of treating people well and building lasting relationships. The land for Legacy Crossing was once a part of the Bichelmeyer legacy, but now it is crossing over to the families who will live there: growing as a family, connecting with their neighbors, creating memories and thriving in Shawnee.
