Founded on a Decades-Long Friendship
Cofounders Austin Chamberlin and Matt Mabe had a strong friendship long before they decided to start a business together. They first met as young men in a youth group and bonded over a shared love of watersports and other exciting activities. It soon was evident that they had more in common than wakeboarding - their shared faith, entrepreneurial spirit, and desire to make a difference in the world made the two inseparable.
In 2019, after collaborating on a few other ventures, Austin & Matt felt a calling to make high-quality homes accessible to more people in their hometown. Arise Homes was born out of this vision. In the years since, Arise has become one of the fastest-growing builders in the Kansas City area. Austin & Matt still lead day-to-day operations, and with dedication to quality, affordability, and giving back, are confident in continued growth and success for Arise.
Inspired & Mentored by the Best in the Business
Once founders Austin & Matt heard their shared call to make an impact in the world through the business of building, they began working on concrete plans. During this planning phase, the two attended a seminar by Kingdom at Work. Through this event, they became connected with leaders at Betenbough Homes, an innovative new construction home builder based in West Texas. The well-established Betenbough took then-fledging Arise under its wing, providing guidance and mentorship in its early days. Arise and Betenbough remain in close contact to this day, sharing advice and resources as they pursue their respective missions hand-in-hand.

A key aspect of our culture, exhibited in our core value of Service, is giving back through ministry. Our company organizes service opportunities for our employees, and partners with numerous organizations to invest in good works in our community and the world.
Arise allocates a portion of our net profit from each home we sell towards our ministry and community service projects. Over the years, we've invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into these efforts.
